BASAN at FIM 2025, alongside SIM

From May 22 to 25, the International Conference Center (CCI) in Ivato hosted the International Fair of Madagascar (FIM), a key economic event held this year under the theme: “Madagascar, a bridge to Africa.” On this occasion, BASAN  reaffirmed its commitment alongside the Union of the Industries of Madagascar (SIM) within the “Malagasy ny Antsika” pavilion. This joint participation reflects a shared vision: local industries as a driver of growth and sustainable development.

Building local value chains for better living together

Under the theme “Better living through local value chains”, BASAN presented its commitments to the development of local value chains, true levers of growth and autonomy for the country. This strong message reflects our core belief: Madagascar’s future must be built upon its own resources, talent, and territory.

Tangible commitments for lasting impact

Through its five certified organic agricultural value chains and three fair trade supply chains,  BASAN  promotes a responsible local economy rooted in the country’s realities. On the ground, this commitment translates into concrete actions: over 987,000  meals served, and 17,643 medical consultations provided in health clinics located on our sites.

At BASAN, corporate social responsibility goes beyond intentions: it is measured by real-world results. In 2024, over 71,000 m³ of water were treated across our sites, and 42, 065 m³ were saved through intelligent resource management systems. These actions are part of a broader strategy where every effort counts toward building a more efficient, cleaner, and more resilient future.

Engaging with the talent of tomorrow

In a spirit of openness and knowledge-sharing, BASAN also organized a speed-recruiting session, creating a space to meet with promising young talents. This initiative aims to identify tomorrow’s collaborators and share with them our core values of responsibility, collective ambition, and positive transformation.

BASAN. Live better, today and tomorrow.
